About

I left home for the sole reason of hunting and gathering.

Because I didn’t know shite about shite.

And I needed to F-ing know.

Know what?

Know how IT all really works.

IT?

Yes, the same one Madeleine L’engel wrote about in “A Wrinkle in Time.”

Oh, please.

No, really, I started traveling and writing at 10 years old, and now that I’ve STOPPED moving, I finally have a chance to connect the dots of economic trends, geography and history of my travels.

I started out as a clueless suburban Puerto Rican princess who suddenly became aware of the world outside my pampered fairyland existence when Hurricane Gloria blew through Long Island in 1985…and ended in Miami, the crossroads of all Latin cultures, where I reconnected with with my ancestry.

I am a 21st century Carmen. A gypsy.

The only difference is my heart. While Rita Hayworth says she has no heart, mine was naive and fragile from watching too many Disney love stories as a child. This is my story.
